At BEA, we strive to ensure all our students are fully prepared for adulthood and life after school.
Despite destinations being varied for students Post 19, we ensure the transition process is rigorous and individual.
We offer information evenings to which all parents/carers are invited and all students Post 16 access a rolling programme of inclusion at Boston College and/or Adult Social Care provision in the local community.
The curriculum followed by our Post 16 learners, is the final stage of preparation of our young people for adulthood. From your 16+ reviews onwards we support you to work within and negotiate many different contexts including College, a wide range of Social Care providers, Work Experience placements, cultural, leisure and retail resources.

Our Post 16 learners access either ASDAN personal progress or AQA Awards, with the addition of NCFE for English and Maths for pupils accessing the Post 16 Careers & Independence Curriculum. Over the past few years all of our leavers have moved on to successful further education placements as a result of well-planned transition programmes.
Here’s how we help our students on their journey
We provide opportunities for our students to access a wide range of community services and facilities, and encourage them to use this knowledge to become autonomous young adults, and take part in making decisions about their future.
